But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. — JOHN 4:23
And we pray that we would faithfully worship God in spirit and in truth, that God’s Spirit would convince us daily of the truth of God’s word and conform us to the image of God’s Son (Rom. 8:29). We must share God’s truth with the lost and apply God’s truth to our own lives, trusting the Spirit to bring about change in both instances. Pray with us, that true worshipers of God would grow greatly here, both in number and spiritual depth.

Jesus’ words to the woman at the well do more than discard the notion that proper worship of God is contingent upon one’s physical location. Jesus makes plain to her—and to us today—that those who truly follow God do so not merely with external obedience but with internal worship, in our hearts and our minds, with our desires and our thoughts—in spirit and in truth.
Born-again Christians make up less than one percent of Czech Republic’s population, so we minister amid a people who do not worship God in spirit or in truth. In fact, they do not seek to worship Him at all. Our ongoing prayer is that God would transform their hearts and minds and make them into true worshipers. We know such transformation is solely God’s gift (Eph. 2:8) and that we can neither give them faith nor help them produce faith from within themselves. So, what are we to do? We are to share God’s truth (John 17:17), in the power of God’s Spirit (Acts 1:8), and trust the Spirit to convict and convince unbelievers of the truth so they might become true worshipers.
